Afenex was founded by a team of solar energy entrepreneurs who got their start in Israel and from 2009 to 2012 implemented dozens of residential and commercial rooftop PV projects totaling over 25 MW

Building on their success in Israel, the team expanded to Ukraine in 2011 and despite very challenging conditions managed to become a leading local PV developer with over 60 MW progressed from greenfield to RTB, financed, implemented and brought under commercial operation.

Starting in 2020, Afenex has been active in the Central and South European Countries where it is well positioned to capitalize on its experience in emerging PV markets and ability to add value throughout the full project life cycle - from concept to RTB, to project financing, EPC contracting and operational asset management

STRATEGY

Until today Afenex has been growing organically, developing solar energy parks through all the stages from greenfield to grid connection, involving equity and project finance. We have a portfolio of 60 MW operational projects, as well as a pipeline of 150MW projects under development.

We intend to continue growing our pipeline significantly in core markets - Romania, Hungary, Serbia and Montenegro. Additionally, in order to boost the growth rates and leverage our experience, we are considering acquisition of brownfield projects, as well as co-development of greenfield projects with local partners.

We are looking for potentially attractive sites and opportunities. We can leverage our experience to facilitate detailed assessment of the grid connection scheme, energy resource assessment, project design, construction planning, as well as land acquisition and other key issues. Most importantly, we are able to bring the project to realisation by providing necessary capital and project financing.
